Get Fit__ ESPN The Magazine’s “The Body Issue” 2015
Ali Krieger, U.S. women’s soccer star, turned heads on the field Sunday during an impressive game landing the world cup. But off the field Krieger will be turning heads for a different reason... Posing nude for the 2015 ESPN “Body Issue. In addition to Krieger, the 2015 Body Issue, includes Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, NBA superstar Kevin Love from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham.
The rules continue to be the same. All stars pose completely nude showing off their athletic physique, but no "special areas" are shown in the magazine. Peter Hapak, ESPN photographer says, “It’s like an experiment, we have to find the right light and angle. We’re not showing too much, but we’re showing the something that makes the body look good and the athletes from when they’re completely dressed up.”
To prepare for the photo shoot 22-year-old right fielder Bryce Harper, who’s having an MVP moment with the Washington Nationals and was chosen for one of the covers for the new Body Issue said, “being able to get nutrients and supplements in the body is huge, and really helps out.” Harper did his photo shoot in Las Vegas at a closed set at the University of Nevada, and noted that stripping down wasn’t uncomfortable for him. “I guess I’m just very comfortable with my body, and I’m not scared to do anything,” Harper said. “ESPN’s great with this stuff and I trust them fully.”
ESPN The Magazine’s “The Body Issue” is available online now and on newsstands Friday.
