News__ The Underbelly Project

| By

The "Underbelly Project" is a collection of works by 103 street artists, created underground in an abandoned subway tunnel. The exhibit took 18 months to create and was only open for one night. Since the collection was created illegally, the organizers of the Underbelly Project have since destroyed the machine they used to get in to the space--but not before letting the New York Times come by with a camera. The tour for the NYTimes reporter was only offered under the circumstance the reporter would not reveal any information or publish any photos that may help identify the site.

  1. Nice points…I would observe that as someone who actually doesn’t comment to blogs much (in reality, this can be my first post), I don’t think the term “lurker” may be very flattering to a non-posting reader. It’s not your fault at all, but maybe the blogosphere could give you a greater, non-creepy name for the 90% of us that get pleasure from reading the posts.
